Introduction to the project

This Project is focused on developing a Simulator on CDMA concept by considering CDMA2000 1X network system specially. This is a project ,which is a partial requirement for the completion of BSC.Computer Systems & Networking degree offered by the Curtin University Australia. With this simulator there is an exploration software which explains about the CDMA concepts related to the CDMA2000 1x system.By using the exploration software the project team explains about the CDMA concepts in a theoretical manner.
By using the simulator the project team tries to simulate the practical approach in CDMA2000 1x network system. For this project the project team specially concerns about the VOICE Services flowing in CDMA2000 1x network. So the users will be able to simulate those services and specially the user can troubleshoot when there is a problem on the system. So it can be a training for the users.Because before doing something to the actual products the user can have the basic ideas on service flowing and troubleshooting approach.

User Interface of the Simulator

This is the first design that we have designed for the user Interface for the simulator. If you Have any comments post it.It will be useful to create a better simulator.

  1. What can be done using this simulator.
Are u going to simulate whole the cdma technology?
What is the duration of this project?
    is it possible?

Actually, By using this simulator a user can simulate and do the troubleshooting of the voice and data service flowing in CDMA2000 1X network.

  5. I think Itz a great idea. But the pictures which you have put in this site are not clear enough to take an idea of ur projrct. I think itz better if u can upload some clear images of your design

This simulator simulates the voice service flowing of CDMA2000 1x system and the user can trace the messages that flows during call origination process ,call termination process
    (by mobile station or MSC).
Then the user can the down the channels manually and then can check up-to which state that the process is succeeded.
It is specially needed by manually downing the channels. The user can get a pattern of messages flowing through each equipment and then the user can map those patterns with the actual scenario, then it is easy to troubleshoot the actual scenario.

  10. In the Prototype Presentation, very important comments and suggestions were given by the panel of lecturers.

According to the revised scope, Now we have finished simulating the CDMA 20001X Voice simulation of major processes. i.e Call origination, Call termination etc.

Exploration will not be completed 100% but we are implementing a practical scenario in the Exploration. Similarly more practical scenarios have to be added to the Exploration. This will take some time and for the time being, and for the requirement of the project; we are not completing the exploration 100%. But the Simulator has been completed according to the revised scope.

This project sounds like a good project and we hope to do well at the Final Presentation!!!
